And YES, throw the sneakers in the dryer too ! As the dryer spins, the sneakers will again keep the down from clumping up and allow it to dry more evenly. Check

the jacket for any wet areas when your dryer has stopped. Wet down will smell and get moldy if it’s not dryed thoroughly. Remove the jacket from the dryer and shake it gently again to distribute the down.
